And update on our orders - been given build slots for both our Boxster GTS and Macan GTS in the past 48 hours.

Agreed final spec today for the Boxster which has an early July build slot.

But the Macan build slot would result in delivery whilst we are away for an extended holiday, so we have asked to push the build slot back by a month so we get the car in Nov/Dec.

Can't the dealer just hold the car for you?

I know my dealer said once the car is ready you must collect it. But surely if the customer is out of the country, they'll hold the car for them? I'm sure they deal with very high net worth customers who aren't available at the drop of the dealerships hat.

I've had dealers hang onto my cars for weeks to enable the new registration date.

I agree - not sure I’d want to take that risk with so many uncertainties these days. Take the earliest slot available I would sat to avoid any others delays otherwise we could get a delay on your later build !

Congratulations. And snap: I bought Macan and Boxster (now gone) GTS's last year. They make a really great two car garage. And despite the Boxster being fantastic fun to drive, it was never a let down getting back in the Macan which I love wafting around in

Per others on here. If possible I'd definitely get the Macan when you can, to potentially avoid that call from the OPC saying it's delayed, or that they're now building them without Bose or something
