Mike993 wrote: Thu Sep 22, 2022 11:13 am Following on from Kleynie's recent thread about how there is mostly chat about new cars these days on the forum, I did float an idea asking perhaps for a Gen 1 specific section to the forum for us guys with the older cars.

It did seem to pick up interest from some the members here, but interestingly no comment from Moderators or the forum powers that be, any chance it could happen as it would certainly help to have a 'go to' section for us fans of the original shaped cars?

Many thanks, Mike
Great idea, keep the original and best at the forefront

Tracky wrote: Thu Sep 22, 2022 7:16 pm Or how about classes like the old train

Poor people - gen 1
Middle class - gen 3 as they all seem to be bought on the never never
Upper class - gen 2 bought the better looking car but didn’t need to splash out on a gen 3 for the sake of it. Generally have more than one Porsche because they appreciate the brand because to be honest the Macan is only a posh Audi

What do we think to this brilliant idea of mine
Or:

Gen 1 - People who can buy a good looking car outright and enjoy it.
Gen 2 - People who want a worse looking car and a loan
Gen 3 - People who have a large PCP, larger than the mortgage of most gen 1 owners.

Or simply because people have a choice and an opinion.

I think the most ironic thing is, you're all retards, it's not Gen anything. It's Macan 1, 2 and shite bumper, shite haptic buttons 3.

The good thing is, little miss sunshine has been and gone twice though

Interesting idea, Mike. I think that Rob is the only moderator, and I’m sure he could oblige. :)

And to be pedantic, all three ‘generations’ are exactly the same shape. There are just minor tweaks with things like lights & bumpers etc, but the overall body shape has not changed in 8 years. ;)

My favourite is still a Gen I GTS in Carmine Red. 8-)

Why not set up a Thread with the title "Gen 1 Only"

Cheers, Bluesnose. :)

It’s funny how, on a Macan forum, the most viewed & commented on thread, is on the subject of a 911. ;) :P

Luckily there aren’t many but the important loud button (PSE) is a proper switch unlike the gen 3 audi
