Following on from Kleynie's recent thread about how there is mostly chat about new cars these days on the forum, I did float an idea asking perhaps for a Gen 1 specific section to the forum for us guys with the older cars.

It did seem to pick up interest from some the members here, but interestingly no comment from Moderators or the forum powers that be, any chance it could happen as it would certainly help to have a 'go to' section for us fans of the original shaped cars?

Many thanks, Mike

I think it’s a brilliant idea, it should be for gen 1,2 folks, so it keeps the riff raff out of the gen 3 forums 😱😂😂

The problem is (in my opinion) that forum activity can be very low overall. It would take a while to build up meaningful entries in a Gen 1 specific section.

Wing Commander set up his own forum topic in 2018 called viewtopic.php?t=6990 it's had 1700 posts and 250k views 👋

Why not set up a Thread with the title "Gen 1 Only"

Sounds like a great idea to discuss oil leaks and transfer box issues with people in the know

Doesn’t stop the Gen 1 folk constantly asking if the juddering they’ve got could be the transfer box… 😂

P.S. I think they are all great and am only teasing 😊

Or how about classes like the old train

Poor people - gen 1
Middle class - gen 3 as they all seem to be bought on the never never
Upper class - gen 2 bought the better looking car but didn’t need to splash out on a gen 3 for the sake of it. Generally have more than one Porsche because they appreciate the brand because to be honest the Macan is only a posh Audi

What do we think to this brilliant idea of mine
