Folks,
I have a base model 265 BHP Macan since new in Dec 2021.
It has done 6600 miles only.
I find the Pirelli P Zeros a rather firm ride and feel most "cracks" in the road.
I am looking for a "comfort" set of tyres - smooth ride etc.
I do not drive "fast".
Could anyone kindly recommend.
I am thinking about Michelin Cross Climate 2.
Best,
PW
Comfort tyres for a base model Macan Dec 2021
Cross Climate are not available in Porsche approved N rated spec. This would invalidate your warranty.
Depending on your car's wheel size you may be able to source Michelin Lattitude Tour HP all season tyres that are N rated. These have a very good reputation for ride comfort.
Do you have Air Suspension and / or PASM?
I had 19" Michelin Latitude Sport 3 on my SD. I have 20" Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SUV on my GTS. Both sets with very good ride quality and comfort. Both cars with PASM.

You do not mention wheel size. That is as great an influence on ride quality than tyre brand and typeSpud23 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 14, 2022 8:30 pm Folks,

2019 Macan S Porsche code PKW8WKI8
Welcome.
Currently the Base Macan has 19” wheels as standard and no PASM.
Can you advise of the configuration of your Macan?
PASM yes/no
Wheel size 19 / 20 / or 21 inch
Honestly if you did not include PASM then my advice would be to place an order for another Macan for without PASM then whatever tyres you fit will not improve the ride quality by a significant amount. The ride will still be like a BMW with M suspension and flat run flat tyres ie hard with every rough surface on the road feeling like someone is taking a hammer to your spine.

Welcome to our friendly forum!
Do you have your air pressures on the comfort/partial load setting?
I have this option on my 911, so maybe you have it on your Macan.
Cheers,
Simon

Wing Commander, thanks for the reply.
Yes, I have tried reducing the tyre pressures all round by approx 0.25 bar - 3.5 psi
It makes some difference but not enough to suit me.
A few years ago, Honest John in the Daily Telegraph recommended Michelin Cross Climates
and I put them on a Jaguar XJ6 V6. They were very good, but that's about 6 years ago.
Stuff changes and I'm looking for the best these days. Difficult.

Col, thanks for the reply.
Previously I had a 2018 Macan S with PASM and found that the comfort setting was the softest, but not soft enough for me.
I traded the S in Dec2021 for a base model as I didn't need, and can't use, the S power. For a Macan S with 25K on the clock and 3 yrs old it was a good deal.
This base Macan does not have PASM.
I appreciate your comment about starting again! Thanks.
Thanks Oscar2.
It's looking like a wheel downsize to 18" is the way to go.
Presumably the wheel bolt hole centres were the same on the 21" wheels as the 18" wheels.
Where did you source the 18" wheels.
I have good measuring tools so checking the hole spacing is no problem.
Many thanks!
