Boot lid opens when car starts!

My boot lid is now playing up and...

i. opens automatically when i start the car (!)
ii. the boot lid button doesn't work to open (driver door button and key fob button does still work to open it)

Sending back to the OPC to be fixed but has anyone else experienced this?

Back in September 2019 in my first month of ownership my tailgate opened as I drove out of a hotel carpark having just loaded luggage. Don't know if if was my error or a glitch, it never happened again. On that trip the PCM also shut down just when I was in mid-M25 junction and relying on the Satnav. Restarted after a minute or two, that was never repeated either. New car teething troubles?

Experienced same problem. Drove car out of the OPC park and boot openend. Repositioned the boot lid pressed the button until a sound was heard confirming new setting accepted. No issues with that afterwards.
New Issue. Boot lid does not close 8 out of 10 times. Lid comes down not enough to close, error sound emitted. OPC changed the mechnism, but still not closing. Here's the interesting part: When the boot does not close, press the "open" button on the wiper and the boot closes!. Problem gone to Porsche UK tech for advice

Not only a Porsche problem, my wife’s JCW Mini Countryman rear hatch used to randomly open itself and close itself when you had your head inside loading it. She would come back to the car park and find the boot lid open when it was definitely shut when she left it. Only did it when parked, never when in motion, they disabled the silly wave your foot under it to open it function but it made no difference, she lost confidence in the car and sold it.
