First car was a MK 1 Ford Escort i bought from my sister which was quickly dispatched for a 1.6 Ford Capri that was in the end held together I’m sure by the Comic Relief red nose I left in the front grill till it eventually fell apart (the car not the red nose)
Ford Orion 1.6 Ghia
Renault 5 GT turbo
Vauxhall Astra 2.0 get I think it was with that funky led rev counter
Vw Vento
Citroen BX19 (what was I thinking ) that left green hydraulic fluid everywhere
Ford escort 1.8 LX , I think I had back to back versions of this car
Mercedes Benz 220 CDI my dad’s old company car , my entry into automatic cars )
Golf GTI 2005 - my first ever brand new car - imported to save me a lot of money - loved that car
Skoda Octavia diesel 2.0
Followed by my current Skoda Octavia Black Edition
MeV Exocet kit car that I’ve only just recently sold !

I’m sure there’s a few others that memory doesn’t permit me to remember , I can clearly see myself getting older before my very eyes as I read my car list over the years 😀

Good to see a Golf GTi in both of the above lists! I also owned a GTi (Mark II) and loved it (three door in dark metallic blue) only selling it when I got my first company car. The recent Golf GTi models just don’t have the same appeal, in my eyes.

I can't think of any current model that's not a bloated imitation of its forebearers, albeit with less rust and no points to adjust!
