+1
I had a similar system on my MB C class , didn't renew it after warranty expired and didn't miss it for the next three years. Tried to connect the Porsche app a few times but gave up in the end.

Well today I got a notification (while I was driving) that the PCM had an over-the-air update this morning. Did not say what though. Couldn't see anything different on / in the PCM.

When I stopped, I checked the MyPorsche App and EVERYTHING on it is fully working again :D ;) This was last the case some 18 months ago   . Early Christmas present! Just hope it now all lasts into the future. :o
I was out just over an hour ago and noticed a download had started but it didn't get past 10% before I was home. Please tell me it won't have the OPPOSITE effect on my App which WAS working perfectly!

Slight tangent, a while back, but this year, I was able to grant the PCM access to my phone diary which was then available in Apps on screen. That has now gone and I can't see any reference to it, did I dream it or did anybody else witness similar?

I noticed the map was updated on a run this morning - second time since I got the car in August.

As for the Porsche App, as a useful tool it's garbage. I've fiddled with it as an academic exercise and managed at some point to get quite a few things to work - including seeing my calendar (and contacts) in the PCM. But nothing ever works when I want it to.

As long as I can maintain my destination favourites and plan a route, with enough way points to keep me on the interesting roads, from the couch the night before departure and then send it to the car ready for the off the rest is superfluous.

When I picked up my Macan, I was told by the Porsche Masterclass/Specialist to not bother with the App?

Similar from Guildford OPC. Was told it was for Taycans primarily but if I really wanted to use it they’d set me up.

Useful for sending destinations to the car (although sometimes it just doesn’t get through) and accessing the manual but way behind other marques.

Same, mine hardly ever connects and almost never shows the doors locked. I actually got an invitation to renew its subscription for another 12 months at something like £279. No thanks :o

It is thirty months since I programmed a destination into the Sat Nav and that was done directly in the car.

Why is it so difficult for Porsche to get basic features working?

I only subscribe to get the Live Traffic, I know I could use Waze but that involves faffing around with my old mobile when I get into the car.
