Taycan...any owners on here? Talk to me...

I got bored at looking at Macans for sale so stupidly started looking at Taycans.

Any Taycan owners out there to advise?

2020 Taycan 4S...would I need to be sectioned if I bought a used one?

Would it be at a OPC most of the time making the most of the porsche approved 2 year warranty?

Quite a few electric, software and battery faults are reported online (see taycanevforum.com) but are they as bad/ common as the forum makes out?

When I picked up my 992 on Friday from Wilmslow, the rear showroom area was absolutely stuffed with Taycans all lined up, maybe 15 or so.
I asked the SE I was dealing with how come so many? He told me that they are all part chops from owners moving on (some to another Taycan) but that they find it difficult to sell them on to private buyers and they have been building up a stockpile.
It seems private buyers are not ready to buy used EV’s at a high price point due to perceived battery longevity and so used prices are falling.
At some point I think they will represent good value but not quite yet

Perhaps if you’re looking for a used Taycan go down there and make a stupid offer for one.

Used EV prices are in general falling through the floor.

Simple answer is buy it, especially a GTS. Have mine just under a month and it’s incredible.

There are quite a few OPCs with 20+ taycans and Wolverhampton with 35! Seems crazy.

Was tempted for a while and as business we were going to buy a fleet of them - turns out we didn’t as our business might be changing direction but kind of glad we didn’t because values hit the deck like Ford mondeos used to!
