I doubt this implies anything about the cars. I think it simply reflects that the populations are not comparable. People who buy Teslas are not the same as the people who buy Taycans, and their car buying decisions are based on completely different criteria. It probably just tells us that Porsche Taycan buyers are interested in quality and handling and are not exclusively looking for an electric car. Which makes sense. I have a Taycan and it’s not primarily because of it being an electric car, tax saving or saving the planet.
I wanted a Porsche that can accommodate myself, wife and 2 teens with sometimes small dogs in the boot. I didn’t want a Porsche SUV as the handling of them while good is very far from how a Taycan can take corners. I do however love the power and instant torque of the electric motor.

I had a 4hybrid for the day last week and thought it was remarkably smooth with a fantastic ride.
