Just returned from a visit to the parents in Newcastle and found an annoying little dent on the rear haunch of the car.

Looking at the height I think it’s a careless bin man with aggressive wheelie bin action and the big plastic hinge has caught it.

It’s far from being a major eyesore but it’s now the second minor one I’ve found and wondered if out might be time to have a specialist suck them out…..or whatever it is they do!

Would you bother and if so has anyone got any recommendations for SE London / Kent area?

I wouldn't describe that as 'minor' if it were on my car to be honest.

Get a mobile dent man to look at it. I reckon they'd get that out fairly easily

I agree , get 5hem done and you’ll be amazed at how these guys get an almost invisible repair.
Also it looks like one panel which might save you a bit.

This is why I always either park on an end and slightly straddle the white line, or park way out the way near no one else.

I tend to go right up to the roof of multistorey car parks, it's usually pretty deserted with lots of space.

Good PDR guy will fix that easily and to 100% perfection.

I personally couldn’t live with that so would get it done straight away 😁

My last car, a BMW 440i, seemed to be a ding magnet. So I basically ignored the growing collection of dings for the first few years and then, whilst we were up visiting my mother’s in Suffolk for a long weekend, called a local dent man who did a great job on removing the whole lot in one go for a very reasonable price (much cheaper than I was quoted in London). Oddly, after that, it barely suffered any more.

Certainly I always de-dent cars before selling them.

Does my head in. Came back to my 7 month old GTS the other day to a nice scratch on the side. Just under an inch long, looks like a bag zipper or something caught it.

Years of having shit cars, even when I could afford one/two year old cars - never had it happen. The first time it happens is when I treat myself to a brand new Porsche. SIGHHH

Never mind, got a decent quote from a local bodyshop who reckon they'll get it fully out. It's just one of lifes little joys.
