We have a 2.0 manual 718 Cayman which I'm currently driving every day as I'm in-between Macans (SD sold but new GTS not arriving until Dec).

The only Cayman anyone ever talks about or buys now is the 4.0 GTS, yet the 2.0 is absolutely fantastic to drive and more or less identical in every respect except the engine. No, it absolutely doesn't sound like a flat six but it still goes like stink, has massively accessible performance, handles better than I can describe and is even usable and comfortable day in, day out. Definitely a case of 90% of the car for (used) 50% or the price.

Col?! ;)

Plus, I guarantee that to the “muggles” out there, a 911 is a 911 is a 911…
Which is why I posted pics of a black Carrera, T, S and S/T in my post, for just that reason. ;)

No, no, no, Monsieur!

The car has 11000 parts and they omitted to add a turbocharger?

Surely every mugger wants a big turbo, pref from 1980,s :P

Skyway wrote: Thu Aug 03, 2023 11:11 pm I think in general smaller cars also tend to feel quicker too. We’ve had many Minis and they always feel like you’re driving in a rocket 😁

The afternoon that I had with the Carrera GTS felt quick even when doing 30.
Do you mean smaller or lower.

I remember having a test drive in an Evoque when I was used to a 3 series. I was so high up that felt slow. At least in the Macan one can select a relatively low driving position for an SUV. I often wonder the height of Range Rovers is the reason they always appear hard driven
Probably the combination. In a Mini they literally just go wherever they are steered and it feels like a 100mph :D
