Only by doing a third party software upgrade. Search the forum there is a thread on it 👍

Are you asking about Google maps on Carplay (needs 3rd party software/kit as Jon says) , or the Google satellite view on the Porsche Nav PCM. Certainly on Gen2 the later can be done within PCM Nav / setup.

I absolutely love Google Maps, use it almost daily, however, I am 100% happy with my cars' built in capability (Gen2 & now Gen3) it gives the full screen display, although can also be shown in a "widget" so smaller and the setting menu allows selection of the view, default, satellite, etc.. Don't forget to save changes!
I expect the only prerequisite is having Navigation+ active which is a £159 annual fee after the initial inclusive period, well worth it if you venture into unfamiliar territory as I do.

Never used the onboard Sat Nav but I’m sure it’s fine. But equally won’t be paying for any subscriptions for mapping when Apple, Google or Waze are all free 😉

It's a matter of principles... You spend THAT MUCH on a Porsche and it should have up to date sat nav maps!!

It does…just that you pay an annual fee for them, but the first three years are free!! 😁

I just find Apple Maps and Waze better than most onboard Sat Navs with much more accurate traffic etc. Don’t think I’ve owned any car yet where native mapping is that good.

I've had this discussion a couple of times and not got a satisfactory answer, so how have you compared Apple Maps/Waze/Google Maps/Porsche Nav+ to conclude which is best?
