Been lurking around here for a few months which has been informative, interesting and amusing for which I thank all the contributors.

After a three month wait, I took delivery of my first new car in over 20 years on Saturday. It's the first car I've ever had with electric windows and power steering (and many other exciting things).

First impressions are it's bloody massive but fantastic fun and definitely a luxurious place to be in. A 2000 mile trip to France scheduled for next month where its promised capabilities will be tested thoroughly.

Thanks,

Sam

Welcome and congratulations!

You'll get used to the size - the surround view works wonders. I'm more confident throwing my Macan in and out of tight spaces and parallel parking than I ever was in my small Audi S3.

Though I do always wonder - the Macan is a small SUV, how do those with Range Rovers and Defenders cope...!

That 2000 mile road trip sounds great, enjoy.

Pictures please!

The Macan is quite a wide car though and up there with many larger SUVs on the width side

Welcome...another Macan and Elise owner here. Have you kept the Elise?

I thought you'd posted a photo of your car....but turned out to be one of those stupid adverts!
