Oh and the ashtray was full!PorscheMack wrote: ↑Thu Aug 17, 2023 2:04 pmSo you changed to a Gen 3 more for the change of colour than anything else; That's interesting. Guess my change criteria seems superficial by comparison.Neil1911 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 17, 2023 1:27 pm I just don't see the point of changing a Gen3 GTS for another unless it's got a starship mileage or you made a hash of the spec (not really possible imho) that aside a significant factor in me changing my S was to switch from the common as muck (nice muck tbf) Volcano to seldom seen Dolomite, the Gen3 step up and bigger spec were just bonuses

I’m in exactly same position, I’ve order forms completed and have put Carmine down again, but… should it be another colour!!
I loved the volcano grey, but went with red to be a bit different. I’ve not seen dolomite in reality, so don’t know about that - yet. I am looking to only keep this car for just 2 years, to keep the value up and as potentially that the Macan is phased out petrol wise..
I won’t have much mileage up on my own current one..

Would you be interested in getting a Macan in their last production year probably 2025 or keep your current order for 2 years and then switch to something completely different?SanPorMGTS wrote: ↑Thu Aug 17, 2023 7:15 pm I’m in exactly same position, I’ve order forms completed and have put Carmine down again, but… should it be another colour!!

The market is on the brink of turning so it seems pointless changing the car just for the sake as you will end up with double depreciation
Fine if you can afford it but to have the same car ?

I think the market it now going soft on values. I wouldn’t be too happy getting a double hit for the same car. Unless the trade in is pretty near to what you paid I don’t get the logic. If you must and want the same external colour why not change the seat colour. That’s where you spend most of the time -
Eventually received March 2023.

I've never keep my cars longer than 30 months so my Macan will go between March and September next year. I'm not too bothered by the big D as the Macan holds it value well so buying another one wouldn't be such a bad move. I think in the near future cars produced close to their production end date will hold their value longer.
