Anyone ticked this "free" option which is probably best suited to lighter body colour?

I currently have it selected on the Configurator with Dolomite Silver. Looks good to my eye and the Missus approves!

Have you actually seen it on a car or just the Confudgerator?

I don't like this option because you're effectively getting less of the paint you've paid for (the main body colour) for some black trim. And I really dislike how the door sill guards look in that black.

I can see why it's an option - if you're going offroad / gravelly places a lot this is where most stones and muck will strike.

I must admit I've never seen it specced on a car, so in person it may look better.

OPC visit next week to hopefully see a Dolomite Silver Macan, not sure what options it has.

They had a GTS with it specced at silverstone the other day - I didnt take a photo of the rear annoyingly, but you can see it along the front 'splitter' and along the door sill/rocker panels

I stick with my opinion above - much prefer paint to extend to these areas. On the back there is already quite a bit of plastic around the exhaust, and the added plastic there makes it look even more plastic-y.

But all in my humble opinion, of course.

I like it. To me it’s sportier. Body paint everywhere reminds me too much of the 80’s trend.

Stone chips easier to touch up too IMHO. I’d select it but that’s the Porsche beauty of individuality !

I agree with you, not seen it on a physical car but looks very similar to the standard trim on any Macan 🤷‍♂️
