New Blue Macan

“Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet” - Rousseau. And the Macan is super sweet.

After a sometimes patient and sometimes frustrating wait of 536 days since Porsche took my deposit, last Friday I took delivery of the new blue Macan.

It’s early days and all is well: The Macan looks great on my driveway; it’s a fine place to sit; and it drives as a car should - comfortable with assured power.

From time to time I have passively followed this forum and learned about the Macan, all things Porsche, and many other motoring (or non-motoring) matters. I’m grateful to all the forum contributors for sharing their experience, insight and humour….. I have learned a variety of things from how to wash the car correctly (I’ve now bought all the kit inc. K5, cannon and snow foam etc.), to ensuring that the Porsche badge on the wheel hub points to the air valve, and not least the many comments on the almost endless options list.

Thus far, I’m delighted with my options choices - the colour and wheels create a fabulous appearance - I’m not going to lose the car in a car park; the interior has an air of sporty luxury; and I’m very pleased to have selected the GT sports steering wheel.

During the long wait, communications from the sales executive and sales manager at Portsmouth has been very good and they have remained helpful and understanding. I am delighted that I stayed the course.

And finally, assuming that I can figure the IT bit, I will attach the evidence - the photographs - of the new blue Macan. You will find the car dashing up and down the A3 and perhaps heading to a golf club near you soon.
