If you love everything about it and the seat looks fine to anyone else and it has warranty then keep it.

Here's my two pence worth.
The car is used - 5 owners ( you were happy with 4 so only one more) do you really expect a used car to be as new, if you want it 100% , spend some more money and buy new.
You were happy with the car before the extra owner so nothing has changed really , why wory about resale - enjoy the car, don't worry about it.
The back seat - just put a coat/folded towel over it and it'll be gone, I'm sure the mark will only get less noticeable over time.
I bought my Macan ex demo 4 months old , wasn't perfect ,but at £10k under list and no waiting time I closed my eyes to the very minor defects which I've picked up a few more of in my 6 months of ownership.

Hi Scooby
Thanks for the advice, I am realistic when buying a used car and do not expect it to be as new, I have never bought a brand new Porsche but I have spent more money ordering my new range Rover Sport, £115,000, the idea was to get rid of my rapidly depreciating PX and buy a Macan to offset any major losses, then when my new car arrives I will PX the Macan for a Cayman as a weekend car.

Having bought new from Sheffield OPC in 2019 and made an enquiry about a replacement early last year, I'm not greatly surprised by anything in your email. I would never change a car to "tide me over" until a new one was delivered, I can't see how adding the dealers profits on an extra transaction will ever be of financial benefit to me. The effect of previous owners is hard to judge but Porsche seem to attract many, is it due to flipping when prices are on the rise? I've certainly seen a few on this forum parting with cars due to make a quick profit, presumably they are all driving Dacias now
As for advice, it's a NO from me, too late, unless you keep the Macan long enough for 6 owners to be reasonable and cancel the RR order!

As per Neil above
I filled the gap by hiring a car for a few months. £400 per month x 5 months so £2k - probably better than the depreciation of an expensive stop gap although more than if I had bought a cheap 10 year old fiesta and sold it again (maybe).

If that was the plan, as a short-term stop gap, I think it was a flawed plan, as by part exchanging the Macan in the near future for a Cayman, I reckon that’ll cost you a minimum of £5k to £7k.DRW wrote: ↑Sun Nov 05, 2023 11:20 am Hi Scooby

Hi nGuys
Thanks for the advice, my other car a Jaguar F Pace which I PXd for the Macan lost some £2000 in a month, they are bad news, I asked the advice of a trader mate and he suggested getting rid as prices are dropping, I have had a Macan before a diesel and ran it for 12 months and lost very little on it compared to the Jag, also I bought the Macan with my heart as I love the colour and the spec, my new RR sport will not be delivered for a min of 4 months so if I have the macan for at least this time I think it will lose less than the Jag, also I have the pleasure of owning it, I am not so naive to think that I am going to beat depreciation, but the plus side is having the car?
Maybe instead of PX ing it I should try to sell it privately ?

Why don’t you try the likes of CarWow, WBAC and motorway? Then look for a cash deal.DRW wrote: ↑Sun Nov 05, 2023 10:56 pm Hi nGuys
