Hi guys,
I have just bought a Cobb AP3 for my 21’ S from Litchfield in the UK and am having real trouble flashing a map to the car.
The Accessport recognises the correct model, but when I go to flash the map, the Accessport displays ‘ Please wait while the Accessport generates vehicle data...’ for 5-10 seconds or so and then goes into Recovery mode. The message displayed reads:
‘The Accessport has entered 'Recovery' mode due to a failure while flashing your vehicle.
Select 'Uninstall' or 'Recovery' from the main menu to attempt recovery.’
I then have to ask Cobb to reset the Accessport in order to try again.
I’ve tried with a 10A charger on the battery. I’ve tried removing the Pedal Commander. I have a little device connected in the steering wheel that enables the diamond key to skip tracks. Tried removing that! No joy. The Car is completely stock otherwise, with the exception of the full screen CarPlay mod… thing.
Cobb are at a loss without their Porsche specialists in the office which isn’t until the new year.
I’d love to know if anyone has experienced anything similar.
Many thanks,
Matt

Just some thoughts, is there any USB devices plugged in anywhere also are you using carplay or Bluetooth etc on the phone to connect pcm. I did look on the cobb website to see what it was (sorry uneducated) and it only listed the Macan turbo and gts with no S selectable. Hope you get sorted

Why 40+? 5A or even 2.5A would be enough to charge a flat or low battery.

I cannot get my head around why you even attempted to flash the system during a holiday period when everything is shutdown.
Always remember Murphy’s Law, if it can go wrong, it will go wrong and at the worst convenient time!

Given he's being pretty ballsey anyway flashing a Porsche that's still under factory warranty......doing it over a holiday period is but a minor issue
It takes like 15-25 minutes to program the ECU. Having a fully charged battery is not enough as the draw when flashing will quickly drain it. Porsche repair guides require a high amp (40+) charger/maintener when flashing/programming any ecu.Nuclear Nick wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 12:21 pmWhy 40+? 5A or even 2.5A would be enough to charge a flat or low battery.
