Discount / Freebies ??

Was so wrapped up with getting the build spec sorted that I didn’t discuss at all any discount or freebies with the dealership. Build for a GTS is now locked in (PRGA2T84) - Feb build and March delivery.

Any suggestions if worth asking now for anything and if so what to ask for? Given cost is £90k+ with extras it feels I should do something. I wasn’t expecting much of anything anyway - maybe a key ring.

Planning on getting ceramic coating done at an independent that has been recommended - https://azuricarcare.co.uk/ so that not an option unless anyone thinks I’m wasting extra money and the dealer will do a good job.

Looks a nice spec, similar to mine, but with a few extras - shortly due to lock down and being told Feb build/March delivery.

Looking at the configurator it seems carbon ceramic brakes are back on the list - not for me and a pricy extra but I hadn't noticed before (and have looked at that MANY times) so think it is a new option.

Bottle of fizz.
Travel mug.
Boot liners, both the flexible shallow lip liner and the carpet mat with bumper flap attached.
Coloured key ring of choice.
Don't forget the full tank.

Don't let an OPC do ceramic coating, it'll be a half-hearted job probably done by the lad who normally washes cars. Ceramic coating needs professional application by a specialist detailer. As for wasting money, I'm not convinced that ceramic coating is value for money at all - it doesn't really protect the paint, but might make it a bit easier to wash.

Asking for a discount after you've locked-in is like opening the stable door after the horse has bolted.

You'll no doubt get a couple freebies on collection day. Think each OPC is different as to what those freebies are.

Very few freebies with mine. Decent bottle of pink wine (whispering angel) and flowers for Mrs W. 2 keyrings for me. It sure I got the good end of the freebies lol. Guildford OPC.

Was an issue with poor prep though so took it back for a detail, got a second full tank of fuel and a 911 C4GTS loaner for 24 hours. Made up for the lack of mugs IMO.

Discount? What discount? When I placed my order in Jan '22 (delivered Jan '23), I could get a decent discount on a second-hand asking price, but not off a new one.

In terms of freebies, I got two of the crested key rings, a china mug, a Motorsport water bottle (to be that prat in the gym), a braided lightning charging cable and the weird grey stone thing (paperweight?) pictured above. And yes a full tank of fuel.
