They also commented that they would be happy for me to collect the car in March therefore having a new 24reg. The said they will be contacting me shortly to discuss and review handover documentation and try to sell me GAP insurance and ceramic coating. Fortunately I have sourced these out by 3rd party companies. After asking I now have a VIN No. Exciting times, my next job is to find some cheap insurance.  How much!!!!
Ahh nice! Solid progress update!

Quick question, so you received ur VIN Nr…
So with that VIN , u can take out insurance well in advance ?
Instead of getting the reg 1 week in advance which leads to increased insurance rate….

I would like to follow that model too.

Do you use the VIN nr entry at the regular insurance providers via Uswitch et al?

Insurance is my next job, only specialist companies will insure a car using only a vin No so in answer to your question No. I will use a Reg number that is similar to mine to get some quotes but will not be able to insure until i have a V5 and registration number associated with my car.

Starting to sound like more trouble than it's worth to me!

So close - although mine took an age for sheerness to prep and OPC were pretty passive. Hope yours is quicker, whatever though - it’s worth the wait for a shiny new porker. Enjoy.

Got a call out of the blue from the OPC today. Mine has entered the body shop 8 days early, so estimate for delivery is now beginning of march, up from 12th-14th.

Honesty I've not been this excited since I was a 6 year old at Christmas
