Happens on my Cayenne when I reverse off the drive and turn the wheel. Also happened on my Macan.

E-Mini (Oct 21) (Hers)
VW ID3 (May 23 local runaround) (Ours)

My previous Mercedes C63 was bad for tyre skipping. Wife currently has a Mercedes GLA 35 and it’s also guilty of tyre skip when turning almost full lock coming out of our drive. Not that I’ve used them but a softer compound winter tyre would help but wouldn’t necessarily eradicate it.

My previous Macan on all season tyres did not do it what ever the temperature , Gen 3 S on P Zeros do in cold weather. Looking for a set of Michelin all weather but they are not Porsche approved.
Any one know of all seasons that are Porsche rated.

My GTS does it. Just had its transfer box replaced and still does it, so at least I know it's not that!

Depends on the rim size you are running.

Generally speaking Porsche (along with other makers) either want you run summer or winter pattern tyres now in the 2020s.

20 " any idea on the softest compound for summer tyres ?? tyre fitters do not seem to have been much help. I will not be using P Zeros again.

Pirelli are considered to have a softer compound than most in Porsche approved [N rated] summer tyres.

In All Season 20" Porsceh approved N0 tyres there is limited availability of brands - Goodyear and Pirelli. At this time of year stock holdings will typically be low too.
Here is an example from Camskill in the rear size - fronts are available:

In case you are wondering what "FP" relates to on the Goodyear = rim flange protection - a raised rubber extrusion on the tyre sidewall, just above the bead, to protect the alloy from kerbing damage.

Don't worry about it. It's just physics and a special benefit of owning a Porsche.

Both our Macan S and Cayman 981 do this in the cold on 20s with Michelins.
