I compared them not long ago when my CarPlay (not for the first time) disconnected itself and so I had to switch to Porsche Satnav. Was heading up the M6 in the early hours and there was a diversion for nighttime road works. The satnav refused to accept it and kept telling me to do a u-turn whilst on diversion. Waze, which my wife switched on on her phone, knew exactly what was going on and what the diverted route looked like. This isn’t the first time waze seemed to be better informed. I just don’t trust it.

If you select "Dynamic reroute" in the satnav settings, it won't keep telling you to U-turn, it'll recalculate the route using the road you're driving on.
