I tend to agree as the indicator ticking sound is generated by the stereo amp (I don’t have Bose). Interesting the PCM didn’t reboot when stopping for driver changes etc …. Only when it was left overnight!
Off topic slightly if anybody visits Andorra in their Porsche, unless your car is registered in the country Porsche data doesn’t work … but the local OPC can proved complimentary data sim for short stays (if you qualify for data in the rest of Europe) if you ask nicely! :D

So LDW is now ON every time you turn the ignition on?

It was on mine but I turned the volume right down (which stayed that way) so I never noticed it. LDW is only a small “chirrup” and has no physical aspect to the steering wheel.

On my Gen1 car, LDW is off by default.

Have turned it to low now on mine, so maybe that's where it was previously and I only noticed when tge settings were lost, but I really don't recall the symbol turning green in the bottom left of the display previously, either 🤔

Doesn't it turn off completely when you press the button on the centre console?

Had to look that up. That switch has always been off, and pressing it now makes no difference other than the red led illuminating on it. Is it possible the switch has never worked, and was always off, but since the recent glitch LDW is now on, regardless of the switch position?
