F-Pace 4747 x 1936
Macan 4726 x 1922
Stelvio 4687 x 1903

So the Macan is bigger than the Stelvio and the F-Pace is only bigger than the Macan by a child's thumbnail in length and width.

Actually, I think the Macan is a shade too large in dimensions for todays roads, parking spaces and garages and I'd prefer something 5 to 10 cm smaller in length and width.
The dimensions quoted above show the width without the wing mirrors. More relevant for everyday driving is the width including the wing mirrors which for the Macan is 2097mm and the F-Pace 2175mm, so the F-Pace is is about 3 inches wider which I think is significant.

Does that mean they're now doing a 4WD model with a V6 and 0-60 < 5sec? :D

7.4 seems to be the quickest that leaps out at me: https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/specs/detail/?v=M201039 regardless I would have recommended a Puma to my daughter had she asked, rather than just buying an MB A180D!

SportsExhaust wrote: Sat Mar 02, 2024 11:21 pm I must admit when I owned my Giulia, I was given a Stelvio for the day and I thought it was great to drive.

The Macan interior from my small exposure, appears to be of much higher quality, however I can't compare driving dynamics, as I've not driven one.

Cars I'm looking at are

Mercedes
CLS53 AMG
E53 AMG
C63 (4.0) ...

Porsche
Macan GTS / Turbo (ideally)
Panamera 4 ehybrid

The less fun options are 2.0 hybrids through my work EV scheme.
Best car I’ve ever owned was my Mercedes W205 C63 Coupe, fantastic car, oh I do miss that V8 engine.. Worst is probably my wife’s Mercedes GLA 35
I've always wanted an AMG V8, mainly the 6.2, but that's not practical for me now. The 4.0 would be, but the E63s are rare and big money (for me) and the C63, I'm not a fan of the media unit, looks like an afterthought (not aged well).

CLS53 amg 1 edition looks very nice, as does the E53 coupe.

I live next to a particularly narrow width restrictor that I have to go through most days. A Stelvio Quadrifoglio is 2163mm wide across the mirrors which is about 7-8cms more than the Macan, which is already a tight squeeze, and the F-Pace is a cm or so wider again. The Macan is also a useful bit lower and less physically imposing than either the Stelvio or the F-Pace.
