The OPC that I use has suggested doing the two together in early May. This will save me a second two hours driving to and fro the dealership, plus a second BMW loan car insurance charge of £15.
Personally, I'd get it in writing that they've agreed to this AND that the delay won't be detrimental to the car.

A future purchaser, including Porsche, may query why the oil service was delayed and knock you down on price.

We were about to walk away prior to buying our S last Oct when the service book showed two minor 2yr services in a row rather than a minor and a major (or vice versa). The SA scurried off and returned with the "major" invoice for the one incorrectly written in as minor. We've kept this invoice in the service book and another copy elsewhere. The system service record cannot be corrected we were advised.

AND... is it the norm to pay for loan car insurance?? We've had four loan Macans so far, albeit for warranty work, and all were insured FOC with a free tank of fuel to boot (well, near the boot).
I do have it in writing.

The loan car is free of charge, but the insurance is no longer free. Huge hike in insurance costs for all.....don't blame them for off setting it.

What on earth do you think is going to happen detrimentally to the car by delaying the oil change for approx 2 months??? I think you’re over-thinking this!! 😁
Me? Personally? I think nothing detrimental will happen.

But I'm not the owner considering going over a recommended service point by 2mths based on a (presumed) verbal "OK" from someone at an OPC.
I'm not an OPC or other buyer sucking his teeth when it comes time for the owner to sell or p/ex.

Ze Porsche service schedule must be obeyed, ja?! :x

Very wisely, the owner does have it in writing so all is well!

Good move.

£15 is a real slap in the face though, when you're spending thousands on servicing. I take it this wasn't the supplying OPC?

As an antidote, I went in last week to have a scuffed wheel fixed (90+VAT quoted) at the supplying OPC. I waited a few hours, as expected, and got chatting to the very charming DP about Porsche things. As the service receptionist showed me to the fixed car, to inspect the alloy (all good) she mentioned the DP had stepped in and the refurb was complimentary... and I went on my way. We'd had several teething issues which the DP had sorted previously and I thought this was a nice touch.

^^^ That was a nice gesture of the DP. :)

I presume a mobile wheel refurbishment specialist visited the OPC, as I doubt that’s a totally in-house service for most OPCs.

Is the oil change interval at 12months correct?
Personally I wouldn’t leave an oil change longer than 12months/1 year, but as others have said that’s not how Porsche see things.

Weirdly, Porsche recommended services are more frequent in North America than here in the U.K. :?

When I first enquired about my oil service, wanted to know the Lead time for a loan car, the central booking guy said just wait until the July 2year service save you going twice, I thought hold on that’s over 5months! It’s booked in for next week and the car is now telling me oil change in 1 day(on a countdown)or 4500 miles. The exact date for 2year service is 27thJuly. So if I took his advice on time frame the oil service would be nearly 5months overdue!

How would any future purchaser of the car know that the oil service was done late? The service book would be fully stamped up - the oil service is variable so could have not needed doing for 2 years.

When I was looking for a used Macan, one popped up at a prestige but non Porsche dealer in my favourite colour with all my perferred options. Great I thought, phoned up and found the first service was after 2.5 years, so sadly left that one for someone else. It sold fairly quickly.
