A warm welcome :D
Your Macan S appears to be in great condition and the upholstery colour has held up well. ;)
What mileage has it done? :?:
What can we help you with? :?:

It’s done 46k miles, what’s the difference between gen 1 and 2?

To my eyes, the Gen I has those lovely unique rear lights, whereas the Gen II changed to the full width light bar rear effect, which I personally like less.

Am sure there were some ‘techie’ changes too, which someone will add. ;)

Gen 2 main changes were bigger wider Satnav screen which necessitated redesigned dash vents, and the light bar on the rear.

Lots of small changes under the skin, I believed they gave the park sensors a Valium too

Wouldn’t SD pack have SD mirrors?

I agree I prefer the appearance of the tail without the light bar.

Also the introduction of the 2.9 engine, as opposed to the 3.0. Revised front and rear mouldings and lights. LED headlights became standard. Rear reversing camera added a jet wash - a mixed blessing for some

I may be wrong Steve but I thought that the S retained a 3L engine in Gen 2 (though not necessarily the same 3L as in Gen 1) and the 2.9L was restricted to the GTS and Turbo. The Gen 3 S has the 2.9L engine in the same state of tune (375bhp, 380PS) as the Gen 2 GTS.

You are correct. I should have qualified my comment with the models involved.
