So, five days in and there are some foibles. Not negatives per se, but definite foibles. The Taycan has effectively three multifunction displays for the dash and, as with Macan you can program and scroll through them with the thumb wheel on the steering wheel. Porsche has for some unfathomable reason (well, to me anyway) decided to put a menu into the scrool so that instead of moving through the screens in order as we Macaneers do/did, Taycaneers have to scroll then button press. OK not the end of the world but to me an illogical extra step.......... Lane keeping is intrusive. Not as bad as others, notably Audi but sufficient for me to turn it off - one click, scroll and a click. One click less if that MFD is active.

Having washed it today - the sun is out in God's Own Country and the skies are blue - there are numerous air channels all around the front and sides of the car that harbour muck and rinse water. Still quicker to do than the Macan. Nice to be able to clean the roof...................

I bought a Shernboa dog dryer last month, £70, works really well on the wheels and all the various nooks and crannies , surprisingly powerfull. I wouldn't like to use it to do the whole car, it would take ages.

It is a bit annoying, struggling to clean the Macan roof (unless you are a tall person)

I stand on a Screwfix supplied aluminum work platform, almost impossible to get to the centre of the roof without something like this, unless of course you are like my Grandson who is 6'9" but he's never here when I want him to clean the car :) :)

I put a wash mitt on the end of a wheel brush and use that to reach the centre of the roof.

I open the Macan's door(s) and then can easily reach all areas if the roof. :!: Much easier than getting out and standing on a step or upturned drinks crate!

She cheats. She opens the door and stands on the sill.
