Lack of Colours

Just love this thread!!!

Why not just say to the SE, " Look, You really do not have any appealing colours for me too select from and Im not prepared to pay for PTS. So I will make life easy for you and the factory. I do not wish to choose a paint colour at all for my new car, just have it delivered in "Crayon"!!".

With colours, when my Macan was very delayed with no build date in sight over 9 months after ordering, I went back to considering an RS4. Think they look great in Red. And nearly ordered one initially instead of the Macan. For quite a while, you could buy a fully loaded RS4 for just over £70k.

Anyway, went back onto the configurator, Red & Green had been deleted. The only colour options on a top of the range RS4 was White, A few Greys, a horrible dull Blue, and Black. Not very inspiring!

I wonder if its supply issue.

How can it possibly be a supply issue?

It was only a few years ago Porsche said if you want PTS it'll add 6 months to your order due to supply chain issues.

They index towards 'standard' colours.

There’s an Audi E-tron close by and walk past it with the dogs on a regular basis, uninspired flat gray with full face black wheels, looks as dull as dish water.
Wouldn’t buy in a million years!

And shortly after the above photo was taken, a second Racing Yellow 911 turned up to brighten the scene even further, parking next to the Shark Blue 718 Spyder, to stop it feeling lonely.

When a Generation is in its last months of production, the options of colours avialable for the last of the previous production reduce. the 911 is about to have the announcement of the 992.2

I was thinking that. Shame but I just hope there are some nice brightly coloured used ones available when I'm ready to move to a 911
