I got into a rolling drag race* with a RS4 on a lovely open, straight and freshly tarmacked bit of dual carriage way a few weeks back - he was very surprised when I not only kept up, but starting creeping past! I think the Porsche PDK made the difference there.

Same engine and output aren’t they??
If so, I would have thought that the RS4 would have the edge, being lower down and therefore more aerodynamic? ;) ;) ;)

But as they say in Top Gun “It’s not the plane, it’s the pilot.” 😎 ✈️

I imagine you both needed to back down when you got to 70mph… 😂😂😂

Yeh same engine, I don't know what difference the gearbox introduces. I think I just got a better run up - I think the RS4 expected to walk into the distance but we were neck and neck!

Neck and neck right up to 70 miles an hour, of course.

I watched this video when it came out, but never got around to doing any. Thanks to you reminding me, I drove the first route he recommended today (both ways) and popped to the Roastery he suggested for lunch. It was a blast! A great driving road, not busy at all at 11:00am - stuck the car in sport with manual hold so I could control the gearbox - incredible fun! Great little road.
