Have Pirelli P Zero on car from new and will soon need to replace both rears. What's members feelings on which brand you get more mileage out of. Needs to be N0 rated of course but there appear to be a couple of options with the existing Pirelli's being the most expensive and, TBH, I'm a bit disappointed to only get 20K miles out of them. Not concerned about 1db noise difference and don't think the economy rating makes that much difference. Purley interested in mileage.

Thanks

I always gravitate to Michelin Pilot Sport high performance summer road tyres of whatever flavour.

I like the feel of them on the road and always seem to get very long wear. On my M5 and M6 I’ve had rear tyres last well into the mid 20K miles, that’s with 2 wheel drive and 560bhp and 600bhp respectively.

My car came with Michelin Latitude Sport tyres and I've changed them twice for the same. They're N-rated, last about 20k miles and are fairly quiet.

After following this forum for 5 years I think it's safe to say that Michelin always seem to come out as favourites. I'm happy with the current P Zeroes (but Pirelli have had stick from some directions, although I understand that their compound changed early last year) which have covered 14k and look to still have 25/30% wear left in them.

Got Goodyear f1 Asymmetric 3 on my current GTS. Had Michelin Lats on my old Macan. Seem to perform equally. Michelin a couple of hundred pounds more expensive for a set of 4. I think the Michelin is an older tyre, older technology 🤔

If you purely want the longest life, then all-season pattern tyres are the way to go. Availability in N-spec does depend on wheel size and stocks will be lower this time of year too.

I have found that Michelin and Goodyear summer pattern tyres are similar for mileage of circa 20,000 miles on the V6 Macans.

Often the front tyres wear quicker than rears.

The Michelins have been upgraded to N2 and IMHO the best buy. I swopped my original Continentals for Michelin N2s, the difference was noticeable and they were well worth the extra price.

Porsche must have a deal with Pirelli as most new cars seem to come with Pirellis from new.

RGS…..Have you noticed any difference in tyre noise with the Michelin N2’s?

Michelins every day of the week, 44k and then replaced all 4 as they seem to wear about the same
