Tigger ,,you will love air suspension I've only driven 300miles with it so far but its superb and thats after my last 14k miles in a steel pasms diesel s macan.....superb..

Jon,

Which is softer/smoother, air or steel? I was surprised how firm air suspension is and I've got 19's! I know air is supposed to be better but I find it different. Probably time a drove a steel/PASM again to compare.
hi Giz

Have you tried steel pasms again Giz only I find the Air slightly softer in comfort mode compared to steel and ive dropped from 20"wheels to 21"s so a stiffer sidewall has made the ride better and not worse..

In sport or plus I find it just as controlled as steel pasms.. hope you've found out by now..

Thanks all
I have now ordered mine with 21 inch turbo wheels with air suspension.
Can't wait - I must say I spent a good 2 months deciding my spec thanks to the reviews on the macan owners club - arrives 1st March 16
Thanks again for all the help.

Jon,

No, I haven't had a chance to try a steel suspension again yet. Just curious. Your comments re wheels are interesting though. However, your 21" wheels are probably lighter than your old 20's which will have some sort of effect as well. Complicated init?

I am very happy with my air and 19's. We were down in south somerset yesterday on twisty A roads and it was excellent. Setting PASM to Sport+ and level to low makes it really tight! I think the PTV+ makes a big difference though, tightening the turn as power is applied. No understeer. I wouldn't be without it Smile.

+1 for PTV

Makes a big difference to turn in, one of the best options to add in my opinion. I gave it a good "test" yesterday in the rain on some roundabouts and could not get the front to run wide, I lost nerve before I lost grip .

Well here's a report on PTV.. what can I say..fanominal grip..first off the turbo needed some super plus unleaded after the wife gently hinted that theres fifty miles remaining so I had the teribble job of filling her up and my favourite filling station is five miles away..
So off I go on my way merrily and then it dawned on me that the PTV TEST HADN'T BEEN CARRIED OUT YET after a flying roundabout I seemed to be being chased by a white jaguar xf s big mistake as this instantly pressed my + button and the tiger was let loose well impressed as the macan just took off and mega fun was had negotiating the next roundabout at warp speed but the macan refused to be unsettled to fast to look at the speedo even..fanominal.. what a blast, didnt find that unburstability in the diesel without PTV, it really does let you hooligan the macan .. jonmacan2015-09-02 21:58:54
