Hi
Quick update, I returned to the dealership this morning armed with my golf clubs and electric trolley.

Good news is that they fit better in the Macan than they do in the Evoque.

Also had a part ex quote which was £1500 more than any other dealer has offered, I am running out of reasons not to sign up for the Macan.

Friday will be my decision day, but can only see one outcome, have a test drive of the new Jaguar XF booked but this was more out of curiosity than wanting to buy one

Will let you know what I decide upon

Bill

Taken the plunge and paid my deposit this morning, April can't come soon enough.

Now need to decide on all the extras, which will be the fun part, can't even decide on a colour, the wife keeps changing her mind

Congratulations Bill. I think you may encounter a lot of mind-changing between now and lockdown. At least if you even part resemble a significant proportion of the forum. Next stop the Experience Centre. Another benefit of not going RR or Jag or... Enjoy!

Thanks for all of the positive comments, I need to have another go at the configurator, the one I did initially, is nothing like what it will be and yes Steve G I do need to start saving, it has gone up by £6k since I started looking at this forum

Thanks to everyone for helping me to spend my money, my objective is to come in under what I paid for my bungalow in 1994, it will be hard work.

£55k by the way

Well done sure you will not be disappointed ,they are in a different league to the RRE and the Jags and we've had both, not sure about the £55k though we started off at £53k and finished up over £60k but no regrets, think a Porsche deserves to be specced up with goodiesi IMO there are a few options that they should have
PASM
20/21in wheels
PCM
Partial or Full Leather
Xenon
Pano Roof and Rails
Light Comfort Pack
Smokers Pack
Comfort or Sports seats
Privacy Glass
Mobile Phone Prep
And. Nice to have is the SD kit and SD Mirrors
Sure other members have their ideas but I think I've just blown your £55k budget
Sure you'll have joy and frustration when spending hours and hours on the Configurator.
Enjoy the experience.

Congrats Bill........like others would like to see the spec you have gone for, not just to spend your money but also some options that myself have overlooked.......happened to drive by a non Porsche dealer yesterday who had a light blue one on display.......think I have the wife on board now.....RR sport was beside it and even I was swinging towards the Macan.....another 2 weeks or so before I get into this more when I get back from hols.......

Not a bad first try ,keep on the Configurator and have another go and those 18in standard wheels a definite no no,if you decide to keep with them I'd drop the PASM IMO you won't need it the tyres will soak up the bumps in the road,
Pano roof and railswould be nice, don't see many going for that colour perhaps it doesn't suit the
