Would anyone have a photo of their labrador or similarly large dog in the boot of the Macan please. Or does your dog get a ride on the back seats?

I fear that the sloping roof of the Macan is bit constrictive to have a large dog in the back.

Thank you very much! Smile

I've got a large German Shepherd/Bearded Collie cross. I would say that the floor space for him lying on is a bit more than my old BMW 3 series estate but he's definitely a bit more restricted when he's sitting up, because of the sloping rear.Andy3522016-01-19 13:02:34

Thank you Andy! That's what I wanted to see. Smile
Our dog usually lays down once we get going, but likes sitting up if going somewhere new.

Our dog is smaller than these but what I do is drop the right hand rear seat-back down with a towel spread over it whilst leaving the parcel shelf in. The dog's lead is secured to the rear tie-down loop and she wears a chest harness fro walking so it is attached to that. She can't get too far forward onto the seats. Sometimes, she just culrs up behind the seats in the "cave".

The beenfit is that I can leave stuff out of sight in the boot because of the parcel shelf.

Hadn't thought of that re the rear seat as I've taken the parcel shelf out altogether and always worried about leaving anything in the car. Once again the forum has given me something useful!

I can see how that would be great for a smaller dog, Giz9 and on longer journeys with luggage.

We have a very tall 40kg black lab. He has a v large dog bed in the back of our current car, we recently visited our OPC to check he fitted. I can say, there is no issues with space in the boot of a Macan.

Ha ha, good on them that they let you test it, Triple7.

Ours is also a black lab, the tall, long legged variety, so thank you for the input. Smile
