I was under the impression that with the hold function enabled the Brake Lights were on ?.

Ok my wife is about to kill me right now.
I had to try again as you all put doubt in my mind. And yes the brake stays on :( It only disappears when you open the door (to go out and take a pic for example!), putting the car in some kind of off mode (makes sense as you don't want to get out the car when on D and hold at the end of the day).

Yes, sorry to be right Confused but when you open the door when the car isn't properly secured, it puts the parking brake on, which releases hold.
Used to have 2016 Macan Turbo PHCKCL70
Previously a 2014 Macan Turbo.
Now a 2021 Tesla Model 3 LR
