I was under the impression that with the hold function enabled the Brake Lights were on ?.

A week and 300 miles into owership
Ok my wife is about to kill me right now. I had to try again as you all put doubt in my mind. And yes the brake stays on It only disappears when you open the door (to go out and take a pic for example!), putting the car in some kind of off mode (makes sense as you don't want to get out the car when on D and hold at the end of the day).
