Is that a brand new Macan? If so, when did Leeds register and tax it, as I've been told that Porsche's systems have been down all week, hence they can't currently register and tax new cars...

Edit. I see that it is brand new. When did they register/tax it? Last week?

It was done yesterday I believe . Was told when I collected today that mine was the only one going out today and the showroom was rammed full of cars because of some taxing issues - and they'd had to let down a lot of expectant customers. Out walking the dog now but I'll check in a bit for you.

Sounds like you were very lucky!

The taxing system issue seems to have prevented hundreds of new Porsches being collected this week, including mine.

Maybe yours was registered/taxed last week or early this week before the system went down...

Just checked - I had a text from the Dealer on Wednesday at 1pm, with a copy of the reg doc (pre dated 24/03/17) to check that the detail were correct and that the car was to be registered in my name and not the wifes. He used 'ASAP' in the text so I guess on reflection something was up? They've had the car 2 weeks but I was too busy to collect. Only paid for it on Tuesday of this week. I then signed the registration doc today at his desk in the OPC. Turned out to be his last day there co-incidentally.

I think there are literally hundreds of Porsche purchasers around the country that are pretty frustrated right now...

That's mental - I was oblivious to it all, I'd have gone bloody nuts if mine had been delayed. Such a shame for those waiting.

Very tempted to go ballistic, as I should have got my Panamera on March 1st. However, it is beyond the control of the OPC and they've looked after me pretty well to be fair.

If PJS got his car registered this week I would be asking a lot of serious questions to any dealer who says they can't tax the car. If the Porsche system is down can't they use another method. Many of the dealers are part of large groups with many other franchises, can't those register the car or set an SE in a car to Swansea to do it over the counter. There has to be a way to get it sorted.
