In the UK the interim (fixed price) is £425 plus £95 for brake fluid change. Interim only includes oil change, new oil filter, new pollen filter, one litre of oil in a top-up pack and a general inspection/test.
Yes I think that's OK. No loan car though - they just don't do them here!

For contrast, my 16 year old VW Golf Mk4 was also at the 'garage' this week. Something in the exhaust snapped en route back from the coast earlier in the week. Through a work colleague, I was put in touch with a chap called 'Bobby' who turned up at my apt the next morning with a mate to translate, took the car away and within 30 minutes had Whatsapp'd me with 8 photos of the underside, explaining exactly what was wrong and recommending a replacement flexible coupling. He fixed it and also (on request) changed the engine oil and filter, and delivered it back to my underground garage the next morning - all for a total cost of about £120. Fantastic service! :D

The £150 would probably equate to one hour labour which does seem rather a lot for what I would expect to be a 15 minute task.
I had my first service done in May when car was 2 years old and haggled to £500 inc the brake fluid change.
