However the venue was absolutely packed and left very little opportunity to take any decent pics. Although its free I can't see us going back for a while. Will probably go back to Beaulieu next year as we've really enjoyed the last 2 years there. Hopefully they'll get the parking sorted out next time ;)
Indeed, Goodwood breakfast clubs get busy, especially the Supercars one (hence they introduced the free ticketing to control the crowds a bit).
We are usually there by 7 am and leave by 10 am to avoid the crowds and see the display cars arriving. And that way we get a great, traffic free drive down to Goodwood too. Early starts don't suit everyone, but worth the effort of getting up at 5 am on a glorious sunny Sunday. 8-)

We like Goodwood Breakkie clubs because you usually get a great mixture of cars from different marques / eras.

I was also expecting to see more Macans but there were even fewer Cayennes. By the way I am pretty sure there were no other night blue Macans (or any other Porsche models) apart from mine... surprising...I think it's a lovely colour (but I would, wouldn't I?)😂
Hi JBA,

Is yours a Night Blue GTS, parked fairly centrally? I may have spotted it as we walked back to the car at the end of the day.

I think we saw one or two other Night Blues, including a 911, as we wondered around the 1,000-1,200 Porsches present, but certainly a fairly rare colour.

Cheers,

Simon
Hi Simon, Hi WC
Yes that was mine. I actually thought the stewards would direct me to a Macan area but they didn't so I just parked it as central as I could;
an SUV that almost handles like a 911 deserves to be in that central mix! ;)

Definitely!

I think the stewards only group cars together if there's a pre-organised arrangement (like 911 UK, PCGB, The Boxster Club or Paul's arrangement last year for forum members). There is no generic 'Macan area' or 'Cayenne area' etc.

It's a shame that Porsche's biggest seller is under-represented. I think that many drivers of Macans, Cayennes & Panameras wrongly assume that this type of event is aimed at the sports car drivers only. :(

I agree it was a shame there were so few other models (aside - I particularly wanted to see a 914), and it is rather nice if they are lined up accordingly. It is worth attending if only because two of you are admitted for <£20 rather than nearly £50 what's not to like  - not sure if the savings extended to a 7 seat ( :? ) Cayenne.

:o Very good result WinCo - I'm guessing if you were with a group (PCGB?) they are rightly worried about a significant drop in numbers if there was enmass negative reaction.

Sorry, not really.

Just an apology.

Couldn't resist it.

Was still a great day out, despite the delay on entry.

Wingco what is the pale blue colour on the 991 GTS? Hubby spotted that one and took a few pics but we can't work out the colour. Is is gulf blue?
