I don't know if it is the same in the Macan, but the LCA lights in the nearside mirror of my Cayenne show up much better than those on the driver's side due to the less acute line of sight angle, which is useful on the Continent, not so good in the UK.

Surely the light only comes on when you are indicating in the appropriate direction?
It's a bit more complicated than that.It comes on at higher speeds, if a vehicle enters the zone, left or right, where changing lane would be unwise. If you then indicate to change, it flashes and becomes brighter (because you didn't pay attention to the normal lights). It also comes on with slower moving traffic entering a blind spot. Eg, you know a car is there, but can't see it anymore, so the lights come on.You can of course turn the whole thing off. And you can turn the brightness down. The GtK app has a long and rambling discussion of the whole thing.
Indeed. I posed that question over a year before I took delivery!

considered. It sounds like some people who have it are finding it a helpful
'aid' but importantly not infallible. Probably has a lot to do with the driving
environment you are using it in as to how helpful it has been. I don't do the
M25 so may not help me so much as I find on quieter roads there are fewer car
movements going on around one to keep track of.
I have it on the spec at the moment but it was at the
expense of auto-dipping mirrors which my SE says are not very necessary on a
high riding SUV. My Yeti does not dip the wing mirrors and I have no issues,
long time since I have not had non-auto-dimming rear view mirror (just seems
mean not having it - so I will search on that thread now).

Thanks for the update on LCA fellas, all views are

Auto-dimming mroors is a very subtle effect if you have privacy glass. I have both but some say you don't need dimming mirrors if you have privacy glass. I thought my dimming mirrors were not working for the first few months because the effect is so hard to see.

Sounds strange. I have privacy glass and auto dimming mirrors on mine and the difference when it autodip is huge. Are you sure they are turned ON with the switch on the mirror?I would not advice to remove the from spec. Who want to have that ugly lever on the mirror btw? And the exterior mirrors are not affected with privacy glass.
I hope I've got them on ! Amber light on = auto dimming enabled?
