Portsmouth Porsche Centre have just done a replacement transfer box for me as a 'goodwill gesture' on my 2018 GTS.

Diagnosed the fault during it's recent service, very slight stutter/clunk on pulling away, I hadn't noticed as I'm always in sport so with the slightly higher revs it didn't do it.

Can't thank Portsmouth OPC enough, a real pleasure to deal with the service department there.

Cheers, Mike

Good news :) but doesn’t the transfer box benefit from an extended warranty? :geek:

Isn’t it 7years, so if my maths is correct 2024 - 2018 = 6 🤷

Agreed. If so, a bit cheeky of the OPC to pass it off as a goodwill gesture.

In any event, a good outcome! :)

The transfer box was originally guaranteed for 5 years and only recently extended to 7, that’s the goodwill part of it.

But is it really "goodwill", or is it just acknowledgement that the component is inherently faulty?

+1. Obviously the main thing is that Mike got a good outcome, but I think he’s being very charitable calling it a goodwill gesture. ;)
