Hi, could anyone advise me if there is any audible sound when the alarm is set when leaving the car?

Mine has no sound when locked. I have keyless entry and drive on my Macan, and when I press the keys or finger the handle ;) there is no “bleep” sound to notify it’s locked.

Sometime it’s a memory to me knowing I’ve locked the car... because I end up 10mins in town thinking “did I lock the car?” And the sound gives me a remembrance.

Is there a setting in which you can turn it on?

No, it’s silent thankfully. Any car I’ve had that blips at me when I lock it I’ve always turned the noise off. There is a ‘clunk’ when the locks operate, and you can always give the handle a tug to be sure.

I know what you mean, I sometimes wonder if I’ve locked it. At least you can check on the Car Connect app that the car is locked.

I'm the same. Walk a short distance away, then use fob to lock and fold mirrors/close roof, listening for the clunk too.
Sometimes I cock it up, push the wrong button and open the tailgate, so have to go back and pretend I'd forgotten something :D

This is where other VAG companies have it sorted well as mirrors autofold in when locking. My wife's GTI has this, lock the car and the mirrors immediately fold in, great visual way of knowing its locked as you walk away.

You can touch the door handle longer so windows will close and mirrors fold in.

The only time you hear anything is if you set the alarm when something is not properly closed e.g. the bonnet, then there is a single beep.

No point giving the handle "a good tug" as that is the whole point of entry and drive - it will simply unlock again Nuclear Nick ;)
