Your GTS looks really nice.

I lost just over £4K on my well spec'ed A1 condition Gtechniq CS Blacked Macan Petrol S last August when prices were firmer ( I had two offers of £55K from two OPC's) It was 18 months old, 7100 miles and I paid just over £59K OTR for it (without looking for the receipt). The GTS was not available when I ordered it and because I had a LOOOONG wait I was not going to change my order when the GTS appeared.

It was not a Part Ex, it was a cash price to sell in August 17, which I could not turn down.

If I had kept it I would not have been able to buy my 991.2 due to the further depreciation it would have had in the next 8/9 months.

Prices have softened since then, so good luck in getting your price .

If you only lost £4K on your GTS you did really well ,was that in P/X against the 911 GTS ?.

That was a straight sale price from one of the London Porsche dealerships. In the end the local OPC matched it minus a few pounds I would have spent delivering it to London. The 911 cost was a separate negotiation, but got little or nothing off it.
Belfast must have taken a fairly heavy hit on your car in the end given how much they reduced to sell it.

I was very happy with the deal to be fair. Even though I thought the new headlight and front/bonnet respray items were a bit OTT. In washing the car regularly, I had not noticed the chips or the small scratch on the headlight. I would heartily recommend Cambridge OPC though. :)

That was a stonking deal, Spook! Even if they sold it for the 'new' price, only £4k profit, less haggling, expenses and tax etc is a pretty slim margin for the OPC. :geek:

I,m not sure what they eventually took for it, but I,m sure there was a hefty profit in the 911 so they'll get over it.

You can bet there was a healthy profit in the 911 - probably about £30k!

I'd be surprised if the OPC make as much as £30k, even on a new a £105k 911. :geek:

The figure bandied around is that they make £7k on each Macan. How much do you suppose they make on a 911? Presumably it will vary with spec since the range is from about £75k-150k. What do you think?

Porsche are reputed to make a blended average $20k per unit sold. That has to come from somewhere and I suspect is bolstered by 911 sales and no I don’t think £30k out of a 911 is beyond belief

A blended average of $20,000 is about £15,000 per unit sold.

Prices vary from a base spec 718 or Macan up to the likes of the GT2 RS etc.

Macan is the biggest seller. The 911 probably makes the most profit per unit, compared to other models. So £30k profit for a mid to high end 911 is not impossible, but that would be the entire profit, rather than just the bit that the OPC makes.

My guess would be if the OPC makes around £7k per Macan (which itself can vary from a base spec 2.0 up to a Turbo PP Exclusive) I'd guess maybe double that figure for the average non-GT 911...

Paul...?
