If your main priority is comfort, 21’s were the wrong choice of wheel I’m afraid! I’ll be going for 19” turbo’s on my S for reasons of price, handling & comfort! Curb damage is also a concern to me as, however hard I try, I know I will eventually hear that grinding noise and my heart will sink into my boots :|

I can’t bring myself to pay £3k for a set of wheels I know will eventually get at least some damage, but I will pay a grand for 19s as 18s just look too weedy on a Macan! Personally I also think 21s look ‘silly big’ but each to their own. I’d always go 19 or 20.

It's probably more correct to say that a Macan should always pose on 21s.

My Macan sits on 20" Sport Design Wheels during the summer and 18" Macan S wheels in the winter. It rides better on its Winter boots and handles better on the Summer ones. The tyre wall height on the 20" is sufficient to avoid kerbing.

We had Macan Turbo 19" wheels with Michelin Latitude tyres on our SD with no PASM or air and found the ride perfect.

My first two Macan SDs were on 20” Spyders with Michelin all seasons. Current Macan on 21” Sports Classics with Pirelli P Zeros. All three cars without PASM and ride acceptable on all three. There is however much less sidewall protection on the 21” Pirelli’s and therefore multi storey car park ramps are nerve racking .

21" are certainly too big on some normal cars. They look great (possibly) but the ride is more harsh and it is very difficult not to damage them.

I am happy with my 20" wheels :D :D :D

I have 21s and no PASM. I've done nearly 1k now and I find the ride super smooth. Was used to an M3 which was granite hard, that said.

I chose 20" SportDesign wheels for my Macan, and I've been very happy with the choice. The ride is good (my wife is even impressed with the Comfort setting) and, best of all, the wheels are so easy to clean!

I have 21" and PASM and the ride is just fine. Air suspension a waste of money unless you go off roading and you wouldn't have bought a Macan to do that. After market wheels and none approved tyres will cause warranty issues if problem occurs with brakes or suspension and won't work with TPM. I've checked with OPC.

An interesting opinion. Why is air suspension a waste of money unless off-roading and how is it that after market wheels stop the TPM system from working (assuming the sensors are fitted)? Assume your OPC gave you substantive back up for this?
