Interesting that I was being “offered” a summer build slot. I genuinely hope that this wasn’t a ploy by my SE to get a deposit out of me. I dislike dishonesty.

Smithy I don’t realistically expect you to have a different experience with a 992 so tread carefully

I spoke to my sales guy at Bolton and he says delivery from April onwards - more S orders currently than 4S. I don't think they have an accurate idea of numbers yet.

Very happy with my 991.2 Carrera T. Might go to the launch event at the OPC if I get an invite, but no plans to order one.

We’ve heard it all before,
Resistance is futile,I’d put a bet down that if you go to the 992 Launch then a deposit will follow,
Sheffield OPC don’t know their allocation but presently they now have 17 deposits for the CS and 4 deposits for the C4S,the SE estimated and he stressed it was only an estimate that Sheffield OPC will be allocated around 10/12 CS and 2/3 C4S next year with deliveries starting April/May,if that estimate is correct and all of the 16 who have put down deposits before us take the build slot then the SE says it could be 2020 before we could be allocated a slot and my C4S will be another year older and have depreciated even more.
Getting to old for this and beginnings to think it’s not worth the hassle and most of all cost.
We’ll see what happens as the wife and son thinks I'm crackers.
