Surely brake fluid should have been included in the £1150?

What brake fluid costs £160?

The brake fluid was done separately to the service (3 months later) as they said it wasn't due at the time.

Bloody annoying, they then charged me £160 to change it later.

So you paid for the brake fluid change twice!

I’d complain to the Service Manager. If they didn’t make a mistake, that’s daylight robbery!

Sadly not. Checked the invoice and the £1,150 was without the brake fluid change. Really pulled my pants down there.

And brake fluid was £100 of labour, £30 of fluid +vat. Ouch!

So they charged you £1,150 for the original service (fixed price including brake fluid + labour to change) then said you didn't need it but still charged you full whack! Then charged you again for it 3 months later. That's some nerve  I'd still complain and ask for £160 knocked off my next service

My local Audi independent specialist would be able to do the same service to the same standard for about 1/3rd the price. But he works solo out of a factory lock-up in a small industrial estate and doesn't have a fancy showroom he's invested millions in.

Then again, Audi dealerships have similar overheads and a similar service would be approx 2/3rd the price so you have to conclude Porsche & their dealerships are milking their customers. There seems to be little justification for the hefty price rises in OPC servicing in the last 18 months other than they know their customers will pay.

Having said that, when it comes to resale time if your Porsche doesn't have an OPC Full Service History you will likely lose £k's... So you suck it up and pay the man. Until your car is old enough that it's a case of diminishing returns on OPC servicing and expensive warranties.

OPC does serve good coffee though
