Downsized from previous Cayennes and love it

Hi all.

Picked up my Gen 2 turbo yesterday. Family downsized with 2 leaving nest in last year. Cayenne feels like a tank in comparison and we just didn’t need the size and bulk. Early days but what a drive.

Perfect spec - pretty much what I would have specced. Look forward to reviews of how it drives.

Lovely looking machine 👍👍👍

I didn't think there was a "huge" difference in size with the Cayenne.

However I prefer the Macan :D :D :D

Many congrats! Looks great. You must be one of the first to collect their new facelifted Macan Turbo! Enjoy! :)

Thanks all. If you drive back to back round country roads the difference between my cayenne and the macan S I had to test was really surprising. It’s amazing what Porsche did with cayenne at experience day but as a drivers car there is no comparison. I don’t need the extra space inside and larger boot anymore. It brings a smile to my face already. Taking it easy at the moment. No official run in policy on 2020 models but dealer said don’t thrash it for 1000 miles and bed brakes in. Can feel she wants to take off so a wee bit difficult

^^^ Have you checked the actual manual for your 2020 Macan, rather than just listening to a salesperson in the dealership? I’d be really surprised if the previous advice from Porsche about running in has been scrapped. ;)

This is from the Good To Know app for my 911, but I think the guidance for the Macan is very similar:

Very nice

Agreed re run in although not sure why so much more in a Porsche than the equivalent Audi S4/RS4

I’ve just topped 3000 miles in my Cayenne S and I followed the guidance in the manual. The engine has certainly become more responsive as the miles accumulate and on a 220 mile journey this evening, doing 73 - 75 mph most of the time, it returned 35 mpg !
