My 991.2 C4 GTS to get the Litchfield treatment

After a lot of deliberation about waiting for a 992 Turbo, getting a Taycan Turbo S (couldn’t get the VAT to work - company car & long story) I have booked my 991.2 C4 GTS into Litchfield motors to have some performance mods doing.

I’ve gone for a remap, a Remus rear silencer, turbo manifolds & their performance sports cats. All tuned on their rolling road. I used a bit of North Eastern charm (and the fact they are listing black Friday deals for other models) to get a 10% discount and my deposit has now been paid.

Car is booked in from the 16th until the 18th of January. It’s a hell of a drive from Teesside so I’m Driving down the day before and staying overnight in Tewkesbury.
After dropping the car in I’ve opted to get a taxi into Cheltenham, a train to Paddington, a train to Heathrow and then a BA flight to Newcastle, where I’m hoping my wife will be there to pick me up. Phew!!
I’ll then do it all in reverse on the 18th (less the hotel in Tewkesbury, of course). However, I’m really looking forward to the long drive back :D
Really will be a case of planes, trains and automobiles.

I’m well aware of the risks to warranty and go into this with my eyes wide open.

I’m grateful to Simon (Wingco) for his help and his encouraging 100+ page threads
Now just need to wrap the car in canary yellow.

I’d be really interested to hear how you get on with this Smithy. I probably wouldn’t do it until my car is 3 years old but currently it’s a keeper so the effect of the mods would be of a great deal of interest.

Good for you, Smithy! And you’re welcome. :)

Well done on taking advantage of their Black Friday offer. I’ll have a chat with Iain about my commission! ;)

Had you not thought of staying in the Tewkesbury/Cheltenham area while the work is done? Or asking them for a loan car?

P.S. I’m sure that Iain mentioned their paint treatments, whereby they could improve your GTS even further, by giving it the Racing Yellow treatment!

"......get a taxi into Cheltenham,,"

I'm sure your charm will work again. It's only 7 miles / 15 minutes drive, so as a valued customer. they"ll drop you ar the train station and collect you on your return.
"Pretty please"!@!@

Will do Van. I’m looking forward to seeing the gains on the dyno, as well as under my right foot. 😃

I did look into staying down there as well as staying in London for a couple of days but without my family with me I thought it would all feel a little strange.
I thought about their courtesy car but didn’t want to weaken my negotiating stance, plus it’s a long way in a Yaris 😂

I’ve seen the lovely green they have “painted” their T. I need to reign the pennies in though.

PS
Is that your car getting the suspension mods on their Facebook videos 👀 ?

That would be my sympathy story. You realise I have to be at Heathrow for x o clock? Have to get to Cheltenham on the start of my x hour slog back?
Do you know any reputable Taxi’s around the Tewkesbury area?...... Oh, go on then.

On the plus side I’m business flying back so at least I get lounge access in T5 🍻

Hi Smithy,

Yep - they’ve transformed Iain’s T from GT Silver to a metallic Oak Green finish I believe.

And yes, that’s my T in the video having the suspension modifications carried out. :D

Cheers,

I thought it was your car. Looks great!

I once asked about paint to sample oak green. I bet it would be cheaper getting a re-spray though 😫

PTS is very pricey, when available, but pick the right colour & you could potentially recoup the cost when selling on. 🤓
