The above post is clearly dodgy and has already been reported. Just wondering if this the future of spamming generated by AI perhaps?

Who are you calling dodgy? I'm cancelling my account and sulking..... just not sure when, maybe when I get accused of boasting ;)

 The dodgy post I was referring to has been removed.

But my point is that's the first spam post I think I've seen that refers directly to the subject of the thread. The spammer's first post is still there, Col responded to it, but that didn't contain a link so maybe was an 'enabler' for the second post that did have a link, which was obviously the bait. I hope no-one took it and suffered any damage as a result. If it is the result of AI being used to infiltrate forums to snare the unwary then it's a worrying sign.

Well done to whoever reported that post with the link included.

Worrying signs indeed, Nick.

If in even a tiny bit of doubt, don’t click on a link or open anything that looks remotely dodgy. 8-)

This one is safe though! ;)

Spammer’s first post now removed too (posted this year) and it now only appears in quotes from one or two forum members who responded.

I've noticed a few old posts with responses made as if it were a fresh/live topic, obviously I can't point to one now, but will remain alert to repeats and flag them up if in doubt.
